Community Health Workers (CHWs) are the frontline of Rwanda's healthcare system. In our effort to scale maternal healthcare, WHF recently conducted a capacity building workshop for over 100 CHWs.
The training focused on early identification of obstetric fistula, the importance of maternal nutrition, and how to advocate for clinical cervical/breast cancer screenings at the community level. Equipped with this knowledge, CHWs will be better prepared to support families in their villages.
